IESE Business announced today that award-winning broadcast veteran Steve Capus, former president of NBC News, will join the school's New York Center to share his expertise and help promote its executive education and business leadership.
With 30 years of experience in management, journalism, TV, cable, radio and in online-digital production, Capus will take on a central role in promoting IESE in the U.S., especially with the school’s focus on programs in the media and entertainment sector in that region. Since 2011, IESE’s NYC Center has been hosting the Advanced Management Program in Media and Entertainment (with a module in Los Angeles) and the Advanced Digital Media Strategies Program.
“We are thrilled to welcome a leader of Steve Capus’s stature and look forward to sharing his wealth of management experience with our IESE community. He will play a significant role in helping IESE achieve new milestones in business research and education for the media sector,” said Eric Weber, Associate Dean of IESE and head of its U.S. operations.

A Blog to Envision the Road Ahead
To kick-start his work at IESE, Capus today launches a blog that will cover a wide range of topics: leadership, communications, journalism, politics, transformation, innovation, big ideas and issues that resonate. As its name indicates, “Around the Corner with Steve Capus” will focus on people with the uncanny ability to "see around corners" and envision the road ahead.
Before joining IESE, Capus was at the helm of NBC news for eight years. During his tenure, Capus navigated this top U.S. broadcast network, well-known for its leading programming such as NBC Nightly News, Today, Meet the Press and Dateline, through a revolutionary period in news-gathering and distribution.
