IESE has announced the creation of two new chairs, one in Digital Strategy sponsored by Indra, and another in Health Care Management, backed by Jaime Grego (Laboratorios Leti).
IESE Prof. Josep Valor, who specialises in new technologies and their impact in the workplace (in particular in the media and telecommunications industries), will hold the title of Indra Chair of Digital Strategy. This chair is aimed at generating new ideas to transform the digital sector, at supporting efforts for 24/7 online connectivity and mobility and at stimulating innovation and productivity by way of digital technology.
The Jaime Grego Chair in Health Care Management will be held by IESE Prof. Núria Mas, specialist in health economics and the workings of health care systems. The chair will focus research on generating new frameworks for innovation within the health sector and on health care management in companies, institutions and key players within the sector.
IESE, Indra and Laboratorios Leti have each perceived a need for these new chairs, with a view to generating new strategies to transform the digital and health care sectors alike. Another goal of the new projects will be to guide companies as they respond to current challenges within their respective sectors.
IESE has 14 research centers and 20 related chairs held by internationally renowned professors. The funding behind each chair comes from one or more donors. Investments such as these facilitate the development of research projects and, in the long term, build new forms of knowledge.
