The Financial Times has ranked IESE as the top business school in the world for executive education for the second consecutive year. The newspaper highlighted IESE’s international scope and reach, faculty and participants' satisfaction.

IESE comes closest of any school since the Financial Times ranking was launched in 1999 to topping both rankings – for open and custom programs.

In this year’s survey, IESE’s custom programs for teams and companies also earned top praise from clients for the second year in a row. The ranking reflects customer satisfaction with the flexibility, personalization and global scope and reach offered by our programs. Recent custom programs include Airbus, Amadeus, BBVA, Danone, Michelin and Oracle.

Our suite of open programs has moved up one spot from last year to rank second in the world. This is thanks to excellence in design, faculty expertise, direct impact on organizations and careers, and the fact that the learning experience exceeds customer expectations. Open programs for executives are taught from IESE’s campuses in Barcelona, Madrid, New York, Munich and Sao Paulo.

The ranking also highlights IESE’s international alliances with top business schools like Harvard, Wharton and CEIBS.

Executive Education at IESE: A Virtuous Circle

Mireia Rius, associate dean of Executive Education and member of the Executive Committee at IESE, welcomed the news: “IESE is the focus of international recognition once again due to the soundness of our programs. We are very appreciative of the confidence expressed by both the participants and companies we work with.”

Thanks to our international campuses, our deep network of alliances across five continents, and the development of innovative methodologies in our programs, we have entered a virtuous circle of learning that allows us to keep improving year after year.”

We top the ranking of the world's best business schools, followed by IMD, HEC Paris, Center for Creative Leadership and Harvard Business School.

The Financial Times ranking is based on a mix of customer feedback and data provided by business schools on open and custom programs.

It takes into consideration a variety of criteria including program preparation, course design, international participants and location, faculty, follow-up and aims achieved, among numerous others.

IESE Executive Education programs have featured in the top two positions in the Financial Times rankings for the last five years in a row.

Global in Scope, Reach and Expertise

IESE is a pioneer in executive education. We were one of the first business schools in Europe to offer executive education programs for managers outside of the United States. Since 1958 IESE has been at the vanguard of business education, offering open programs and highly personalized custom programs to an increasing spectrum of businesses and business leaders around the world.

Today IESE offers open executive education and custom programs at key locations globally, including Barcelona, New York City, Munich, Sao Paulo, Miami, Shanghai and Warsaw.

Among our top-ranked portfolio of offerings are the Advanced Management Program (AMP), with international editions in Brazil, Germany, Poland, Spain and the US; the Program for Leadership Development (PLD), offered in Brazil, Germany, Spain and the US; the Senior Executive Program New York-Miami (SEP), aimed at entrepreneurs and senior business leaders of global firms; and the innovative Global CEO Program, which has modules in China, Brazil and the U.S. and is run in conjunction with Wharton and CEIBS.

The Financial Times ranking is a consolidation of IESE's commitment to excellence and our focus on driving integrity and a deep sense of service in business.
